Grow Tomatoes from Tomatoes: Easiest Method Ever
Hello friends, in this blog, we will learn how to grow tomatoes using just the healthy and ripe tomatoes you probably already have sitting in your fruit bowl. This method is simple and effective, allowing you to grow your own tomatoes with minimal effort.
Step 1: Preparing the Tomatoes
Select Healthy Tomatoes:
Take some healthy and ripe tomatoes.
Cut the tomatoes into slices.
Step 2: Preparing the Potting Mix
Mix Ingredients:
Take 50% normal garden soil, 30% organic compost, and 20% fine sand.
Mix it well.
Prepare the Container:
Take a well-drained container with drainage holes at the bottom.
Cover the holes with small gravel or stones.
Fill it with the potting mix.
Step 3: Planting the Tomato Slices
Planting:
Take the tomato slices and place them on the potting mix.
Cover them with a fine layer of potting mix.
Step 4: Watering and Initial Care
Watering:
Water thoroughly.
Keep the pot in partial shade.
Ensure the potting mix remains moist all the time.
Step 5: Germination and Seedling Care
Germination:
After 6 to 8 days, seeds will start to germinate.
After 15 to 16 days, your seedlings will look like this.
Transplanting:
At this stage, they are ready to be transplanted into individual pots.
Take a well-drained container with drainage holes at the bottom.
Fill it with the potting mix.
Always use a big container for tomato plants.
Make a hole in the center.
Planting the Seedlings:
Plant the tomato seedlings as deep as possible.
Gently tap the soil around the stem of the seedling.
Water thoroughly.
Step 6: Final Care
Sunlight:
Keep the pot in partial shade for 2 to 4 days.
After that, you can keep the plant in full sunlight for better growth.
